Welcome to Cross Cuts!
You have entered the cyber home of Winter Pines and the other wonky Cross Cuts’ designs.
I recently moved to a new home in Spring Grove, Minnesota, and my design studio is located in the heart of our family home. How lucky is that? My design ideas come from a desire to honor the things I love - my children, my friends, my family, my surroundings, my life!
I use black and white (with the ever-present dash of vivid
color) because it challenges me and seems to work the best
for expressing my ideas and spirit. Some have called me “the
black and white lady,” and I just love that! My most
popular designs are my trees. They are sleek, angular, and
foundation pieced. Currently there are four different tree
patterns. Also using the same techniques are birdhouses, cocktail
dresses, and cats. They all have a story and are fun to make.
I believe in no-stress quilting. Life has enough bumps and
challenges – I certainly wouldn’t want to add
any to my life or yours!
My other designs range from easy piecing - Goddess of Light - (there is light at the end of the tunnel!), to appliqué - Bun-Bun for Baby - (a tribute to my son) to old fashioned designs with a twist - Snuggletime He-Man - (you guessed it – for my husband!).
I’m really glad you stopped by – grab a cuppa and come on in!
